You'll earn income from exploration successes, mining production and shrewd stock investments. Life in the fast lane will be intense. Up to five other human or computer-controlled tycoons with unique personalities will be competing for the same goal. Different personalities and graphical animations represent each computer player, and your news team comes complete with its own newscaster for all the news.

Attractive, colorful visuals are present throughout the game. The game opens with a camera panning across a sprawling 3D world, showing off an impressive geological landscape. As you progress in the game's scenarios, the world view in zoom mode showcases a wide variety of mining buildings, as well as size-proportionate vehicles and people busily working on the exploration and mine sites. Small details offer a real visual treat such as drill rigs, mills, company logos on buildings and much more.

The intuitive interface allows you the freedom to wrangle with competitors. Collapsible info panels display your finances and have a nice clean look and feel. The icons are easy to click and switch to different information pages, with extra care given so that too much data won't become overwhelming.

A full world map view lets you examine the entire world at once. A mini-map at the bottom corner of the screen makes moving to specific locations quick and easy: Just click on the region, and the camera zooms you there. Beautiful graphics and geographically correct detailing will impress even the most advanced geologists in the business. To assist your climb up the corporate ladder, you will be able to zoom in further and closely investigate the surrounding lands. you can easily search the world for areas and regions with a handy search tool built into the interface. All metals will show up when discovered so that entire regions may light up the world with gold's glitter.

You will be given the chance to evaluate each property’s profit potential. With a quick check, you can see who's producing what metal and how each of your competitors is faring. If the property looks like a winner and you just have to get your hands on it, you may try to win its claim in a public auction. If you're bid is successful, you can take over all property rights and future profits. You may need to borrow cash or issue shares in order to raise the necessary capital.
